Sarovar Hotels and Resorts proposes to invest Rs 100 crore to set up own
hotels under its brand ‘Hometel’.
The company is in the process of clinching the land deal for two economy
hotels in Chennai. After the required approvals, it should take 14 months to
complete the projects. Meanwhile, its Chandigarh property is likely to be
operational by end-February 2010.
Presently, Sarovar is into management of 41 hotels (three, four and five
star) and 20 more are likely to be added by the end of this year.
