1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Second phase of redevelopment of Prayagraj junction begins

The process of redevelopment of Prayagraj Junction is going on, with the theme of protecting heritage and development. The second phase of pillar piling to construct a 72-mtrs.-wide concourse on the Civil Lines side of the junction has started.

The construction process is being completed by closing platform numbers seven and eight for piling. Due to this, this platform will be kept closed till June, 2024. Earlier, piling work on platform numbers nine and 10 was also completed in February. At the same time, 27 trains arriving on platform number eight have also been shifted to Cheoki railway station.  The main structural work will be completed by October end, 2024. The second phase of work will be carried out from 01 February, 2025 to December 2026.

The allocation of Rs 960 crore for the station development of Prayagraj junction is the highest budget in the country. In the first phase, the foundation was laid for the construction of a new building on the Civil Lines side. World-class airport-like facilities are to be provided.

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) will get a modern barrack, with capacity to accommodate 200 personnel is also being built at a cost of Rs 14.81 crore at the junction. The building will be of nine storeys.

Prayagraj junction will offer accommodation for passengers, spaces for food and drinks, and shops for shopping and a food plaza. There will also be provision for VIP lounge, ramps and automated stairs and lifts for platform, route-wise passenger movement, and multi-level parking.
