Sembcorp, a leading renewable power and urban development company, has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Paradip Port Authority (PPA) to explore the creation of an integrated green hydrogen and ammonia ecosystem.
The MoU was exchanged at the India Maritime Week 2025 in Mumbai, in the presence of Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and PPA Chairman PL Haranadh. This collaboration will cover the production, storage, handling, and export infrastructure for green hydrogen and ammonia at Paradip Port.
Sembcorp previously signed an MoU with the Odisha government to develop a green hydrogen facility with an estimated annual production capacity of 7.2 lakh tonne per annum. The company currently operates 19.3 GW of renewable energy across 11 countries, including 13 states in India, and manages one of the country's largest wind portfolios.
