The Board of Directors of Anamika Sugar Mills, a wholly owned subsidiary of Shree Renuka Sugars, at its meeting held on 26 October 2024, has approved the capex of Rs 1,838 miillion.
The capex will cover the expansion in the cane crushing capacity from 4,000 TCD to 7,000 TCD and setting up of 15 MW power plant at the plant located at Bhandoria, Aurangabad, Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. The mode of financing will be through bank borrowings and internal accruals.
The proposed expansion will enable the company to utilise the additional cane availability. It will also result in an improvement in operating performance, and a reduction of conversion cost of sugarcane to sugar. The existing capacity utilisation is 89.17 percent.
The proposed expansion is expected to be completed before the beginning of the next crushing season i.e. 2025-26.
