Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has announced major investments from Shreeja Milk Producer Organisation and Mother Dairy under the state’s Swarna Andhra vision. The companies will set up new processing units in Kuppam, which has the potential to create approx. 8,000 employment opportunities, giving a boost to the local economy.
Shreeja Milk will set up a dairy and animal feed processing unit, while Mother Dairy is slated to build a fruit pulp processing plant. Both companies have been allotted land for the projects under a broader partnership with the Kuppam Area Development Authority (KADA), aimed at promoting inclusive regional development.
The new units will directly procure milk and horticultural produce from local farmers, ensuring sustained livelihood opportunities in the region. The CM urged both companies to complete the projects within 15–18 months to deliver timely benefits to the community.
These investments align with the state government’s broader goals of poverty reduction and economic revitalisation in semi-urban and rural Andhra Pradesh, strengthening the agricultural and food processing infrastructure in the state.
