Mumbai Metro Line 3 has reached a significant milestone with the unveiling of the Siddhivinayak Metro Station, one of ten stations forming the first phase of the much-anticipated Aqua Line.
The Aqua Line, Mumbai’s first fully underground metro line, is designed to transform urban commuting by alleviating road congestion and providing faster, seamless travel across key city zones. Phase 1 connects Aarey Colony JVLR to BKC, passing through SEEPZ, Andheri, Marol Naka, Sahar Road, and both terminals of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (T1 and T2), as well as Santacruz and Bandra Colony.
Phase-2, currently under construction, will extend from BKC to Cuffe Parade via Worli, linking additional stations such as Siddhivinayak Temple, Dadar, Dharavi, Shitaladevi Temple, Worli, and Acharya Atre Chowk. Once completed, the entire corridor will significantly enhance north-south connectivity across Mumbai, serving as a high-capacity transit route.
