Sigachi Industries, a prominent manufacturer of pharmaceutical excipients and active ingredients, has received the terms of reference (ToR) from the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA), Andhra Pradesh. The ToR pertains to the company's proposed Bulk Drugs, Drug Intermediates, and Specialty Chemicals manufacturing facility in Orvakal, Kurnool district.

With this key approval in place, the environmental clearance (EC) process is scheduled to begin on 15 July 2025, and the project development will commence on 01 August 2025. The facility is proposed on 25.09 acres at Plot No. A-10, Guttapadu-Orvakal Node, and falls under Category B1, as per Schedule 5(f) of the EIA Notification, 2006, covering the synthetic organic chemicals sector.

This strategic initiative is expected to significantly enhance Sigachi’s Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing capabilities and broaden its reach across regulated and semi-regulated global markets. Additionally, the facility will serve as a key export hub, further reinforcing India’s position in the global pharmaceutical supply chain.
