Sona BLW Precision Forgings ((Sona Comstar) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Germany-based NEURA Robotics to collaborate on the development and industrialisation of advanced robotics and humanoid technologies.
The agreement was formalised on 10 October at NEURA’s headquarters in Metzingen. The partnership aims to jointly design and manufacture high-tech components and sub-assemblies for robots and humanoids, with a focus on introducing these innovations to the Indian market and other selected regions.
Sona Comstar, a global mobility technology company headquartered in Gurugram, India, brings deep expertise in electric powertrains, precision engineering, and global manufacturing, with facilities across India, the U.S., Mexico, Serbia, and China. NEURA Robotics, founded in 2019, is a pioneer in cognitive robotics, known for integrating AI that enables robots to act with sensory awareness and basic cognitive functions.
This partnership aligns with global trends favouring intelligent automation, as industries increasingly adopt robotics to enhance productivity, safety, and adaptability across manufacturing and logistics sectors.
