Southern Railway has invited bids for the redevelopment of Katpadi Junction railway station, focusing on the balance work required for the project.

This redevelopment will be carried out under the engineering, procurement, and construction mode, a common approach for large-scale infrastructure projects that streamlines the design, procurement, and construction processes. The Rs. 263.69 crore contract, aims to modernise and enhance the facilities at Katpadi Junction, improving the station’s infrastructure to better serve the growing number of passengers. This development is a significant step towards upgrading the railway station, ensuring greater convenience, better amenities, and smoother operations, aligning with ongoing efforts to modernise key transportation hubs in Tamil Nadu.

The closing date for bid submisison is 02 March, 2026.
