Sterlite Industries (India), which is currently implementing a major copper capacity expansion project, is also planning to upgrade its phosphoric acid plant as a related requirement.

At present, the phosphoric acid plant located in the Tuticorin copper complex in Tamil Nadu, has a capacity of 350 tonnes per day. Sterlite has proposed to enhance this to 600 tpd for which it has invited expressions of interest from contractors having relevant experience in the following fields:

• detailed engineering services
• supervisory services
• turnkey contractors on lumpsum basis
• phosphoric acid plant equipment suppliers
• mechanical/electrical and civil instrumentation contractors
