Super Plastronics (SPPL), a leading TV and home appliances manufacturer in India, aims to surpass one million TV sales by 2025, driven by increased manufacturing capacity, portfolio diversification, and a stronger offline presence.
The Noida-based company currently operates two manufacturing units and is adding four more in Greater Noida, Yamuna Expressway, and Hapur, Uttar Pradesh. The Hapur plant alone has seen an investment exceeding Rs100 crore. “Whatever investments we have done in the last two years will reap results after FY25 and FY26,” Director and CEO Avneet Singh Marwah said, adding "By 2027, my target is to have 6-7 new manufacturing plants and we want to be one of the largest company in the consumer electronic in India."
SPPL’s product portfolio includes globally licensed brands like Thomson, Kodak, Blaupunkt, and White-Westinghouse. Thomson contributes the most to its sales, followed by Kodak and others. The company is also negotiating licensing rights for two additional global brands to strengthen its presence in the Indian market. In addition to TVs, washing machines have emerged as SPPL’s second-largest category. “This year, we are expanding washing machines in offline channels and plan to sell around two lakh units,” the CEO stated. The company is also exploring new categories like refrigerators and expanding its appliance lineup, including coolers.
By enhancing its production capacity and diversifying its offerings, SPPL is positioning itself as a formidable player in India’s consumer electronics sector.
