Surya Roshni's Rs 400 crore Bhuj plant in Gujarat is likely to commence
production during 2009.
The proposed plant with a 200,000 tonne production capacity is expected to
manufacture steel pipes under the brand name Prakash Surya GI Pipes, for oil and
water supply in Gujarat.
So far, the company has invested Rs 200 crore for the plant and will invest
an additional Rs 200 crore later.
Meanwhile, the company is likely to expand its Gwalior plant in Madhya
Pradesh at an investment of Rs 150 crore during 2009. The proposed expansion is
likely to be funded partly through internal accruals and partly through bank
loans.
