Tata Elxsi has announced a strategic collaboration with Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI) to advance vehicle software engineering and the development of software-defined vehicles (SDVs).

The partnership aims to deliver next-generation mobility solutions by leveraging Tata Elxsi’s integrated software architecture, designed to enhance vehicle capabilities, provide intuitive user interfaces, and optimise performance for a superior driving experience. The collaboration is expected to support evolving driver expectations by enabling adaptive, intelligent systems within vehicles.

Tata Elxsi emphasised that its work with global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) is geared towards building scalable SDV platforms which facilitate rapid innovation across multiple vehicle models while reducing development costs and ensuring shared accountability. The AVENIR SDV suite supports holistic SDV development, while the AUTONOMAI ADAS suite enhances advanced driver-assistance systems.

Tata Elxsi’s strategic ecosystem is designed to support end-to-end software integration, from embedded systems to cloud-based services, offering a modular and agile approach to vehicle software innovation.
