Technip Energies has secured two major contracts from Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) for projects at the Bina and Mumbai refineries.
The first contract involves the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of new polypropylene and butene-1 units at the Bina refinery in Madhya Pradesh. These units are designed to produce 550,000 tonne of polypropylene and 50,000 tonne of butene-1 annually, as part of BPCL's larger expansion plan. The second contract covers engineering, procurement, and construction management for a new three million tonne per annum petro resid fluidised catalytic cracker (PRFCC) unit at BPCL’s Mumbai refinery. Both projects include auxiliary units and associated offsites and utilities.
Technip Energies has emphasised its expertise and local presence in contributing to India’s energy infrastructure.
