Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha announced that the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) at Sanathnagar would be inaugurated by Ugadi, and patients would have access to comprehensive medical services from day one.
During an inspection of the ongoing construction, the Minister shared that the main building was nearing completion. The installation of operation theatres, diagnostic facilities, and other essential medical equipment, including state-of-the-art MRI machines, was in its final stages. "We do not believe in publicity or hype. Our only focus is to provide quality healthcare to the people," Minister Rajanarasimha emphasised, assuring that the hospital would be fully equipped and operational by the time of the festival.
The 1,000-bed TIMS Hospital is being developed as a centre of excellence for cardiac care, offering advanced treatment for heart-related diseases. Additionally, an organ transplantation center is being established, with modern operation theatres dedicated to transplant surgeries.
