Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has announced that the Telangana government plans to expand Singareni Collieries Company (SCCL) operations into mining lithium, graphite, and other minerals in the near future.
The government will soon consult global experts to determine the best approach for diversifying SCCL's activities beyond coal, aiming to secure a brighter future for the company and its workforce. "We want to transform Singareni into a globally renowned institution by expanding its operations into green energy projects in unused mining areas, transitioning towards green energy through solar and pumped storage projects," he stated.
In addition to expanding mining operations, the state government is investing in the welfare of Singareni employees and their families. The government is constructing integrated residential schools in every assembly constituency under Singareni, with an investment of Rs 200 crore for each school. This initiative is intended to provide quality education to the children of Singareni employees and workers, supporting their overall development.
