Narmada Water Resources, Water Supply & Kalpsar Department has floated a tender for the watershed development of the Sabarmati River banks, from IIT Gandhinagar to Mota Chiloda Bridge in Gandhinagar (Phase 6/B, Part-2).
The project involves developing a 5.11 km stretch along both the right and left banks of the Sabarmati River. The scope includes the construction of diaphragm walls, built-up walls, promenades, gabbion structures, ghats, access ramps, and outfall provisions. The development aims to enhance the riverbanks with a lower, middle, and upper promenade, contributing to the long-term improvement of the river's infrastructure. The total cost of the project is approx. Rs 319.36 crore, and the work must be completed within 18 months, including the monsoon period.
The bid submission process is set to close on 27 January, 2026.
