Tera Software, as part of a consortium led by its partner ITI, a PSU under the Department of Telecommunications, has secured an advance work order (AWO) from the BharatNet Project for Package No. 15 under Phase-3.
The contract, worth Rs 1,901.10 crore, pertains to the development of the Middle Mile Network in the North Eastern Region-II (NER-II), covering the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Manipur. The scope of work includes the design, supply, construction, installation, upgradation, operation, and maintenance of the Middle Mile Network, forming a crucial component of the BharatNet infrastructure. It is being developed under the Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN) initiative on a design, build, operate, and maintain (DBOM) model, with the goal to extend high-speed internet services to 2,50,000 Gram Panchayats across India, furthering the nation’s digital inclusion and connectivity goals.
With this significant win, the total order value received by the Tera Software–ITI consortium from Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) now stands at Rs 7,005 crore.
