US-based semiconductor company Texas Instruments (TI) will set up a design and manufacturing unit at a tech park near the Bengaluru International Airport, Karnataka.
The company has received Karnataka government’s approval to establish the plant. The project will see investment to the tune of Rs 995 crore.
The unit will include a semiconductor software design and testing facility. The unit will provide employment opportunities to 2,100 persons.
The Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board, the nodal agency for land allotment, will provide 15 acre in the business park.
