Thermax bagged an order worth Rs.450
crore for setting up a 60 MW captive power plant from an integrated steel unit
in Andhra Pradesh. The plant will use process gases and blended coal as fuel.
The scope of the order includes supply
and commissioning of boilers and turbines, fuel and ash handling system, civil
works, water treatment plant, pollution control system, storage reservoirs and
balance of plant equipment. The captive power plant will support the integrated
steel project of 1.25 million tpa expandable to 2.5 million tpa capacity.
