1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Thiruvananthapuram to undergo urban rejuvenation with Rs 100-cr investment

Thiruvananthapuram is set to witness a series of infrastructure and beautification projects under the Urban Rejuvenation and City Beautification Scheme, with a Rs 100 crore investment announced in the 2023-24 Kerala State Budget.

The Thiruvananthapuram Development Authority (TRIDA) will supervise the projects, while Smart City Thiruvananthapuram will handle construction. The projects aim to enhance the city’s aesthetic appeal and improve infrastructure, focusing on key areas like roads, parks, and public spaces. Notable initiatives include the beautification of the Chacka-Shanghumukham Beach stretch and the LMS Church-Vellayambalam-Kowdiar-Peroorkada Road, which will feature floral displays, art installations, and seating.

Additionally, the VS Achuthanandan Park at Palayam will be developed at a cost of Rs 1.64 crore, and the Jawahar Balabhavan’s “Playscape” project will revitalise the children’s activity centre. The project also includes the rehabilitation of shopkeepers displaced by the Vattiyurkavu Junction development.
