ThyssenKrupp Aerospace has forayed into the Indian aerospace market by setting up a facility in Bengaluru.
The plant was inaugurated by ThyssenKrupp Aerospace President, Jurgen Funke, on 18 February, 2015.
Spread across 3,300 sq mtr at the Aerospace Special Economic Zone, the facility was set up with an investment of Rs 25 crore.
It will be used for processing of materials used in the aerospace market.
The company will be sourcing metals like titanium, aluminium, steel, and high performing alloys from across the country and will process and stock them here for Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III vendors.
It will help Indian companies to make parts for Original Equipment Manufacturers by supplying material. It has installed machining centres, cutting and milling units, and testing facilities at the Bengaluru plant.
