Japanese company Toppan Speciality Films (TSF) has signed an agreement with the Punjab government to invest Rs 400 crore as part of its expansion plans.
The announcement was made during Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's visit to Japan and South Korea. The agreement also includes the establishment of a skilling excellence centre in Punjab, aimed at enhancing industry-relevant skills and boosting employability in the state. CM Mann emphasised that the Centre would focus on high-end technical skills and provide certifications to meet industry and global standards. He also mentioned that TSF would offer financial assistance, technical input, and training support aligned with industry needs.
The investment will help expand TSF’s manufacturing facility, integrate advanced technologies, and create new employment opportunities. The CM assured the company of full support to ensure the success of its operations in Punjab.
