At an event by the State Engineers' Association (SEA), the CM shared that discussions with the Tata Group are underway to establish the luxury hotel. “This initiative will be a game-changer for Tripura, as the hotel is expected to feature not only royal rooms but also exclusive rooms for high-end guests,” the Chief Minister stated. He emphasised the potential to attract foreign tourists, mentioning that the Tata Group’s global reach could bring visitors through chartered flights for a premium experience.
The hotel will also encourage international guests to explore local attractions like Rudrasagar, Unakoti, Chhabimura, and Dumber Lake, with the venture expected to create 200 direct employment.
Additionally, CM Saha spoke about plans to improve the state's infrastructure, including the construction of four flyovers in Agartala to ease traffic congestion. "I have instructed the PWD secretary to explore funding options for these flyover projects," he said. Currently, Agartala only has one flyover.
