The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, approved a proposal to issue Letters of Comfort (LoCs) for 12 new investment projects totaling Rs 16,000 crore in the state.
These include ultra-mega, super-mega, and mega projects, with investments ranging from Rs 500 crore to Rs 3,000 crore. Notable projects include a solar manufacturing park by SNL Renewable Power in Meerut and a consumer electronics plant by Ambar Enterprises in the YEIDA area of Gautam Buddha Nagar. Additionally, Ascent-K Circuit plans to set up a PCB and semiconductor plant in the same region. The Cabinet also approved proposals for setting up a specialist doctor recruitment board and retail compressed biogas outlets in Barabanki by Reliance Industries.
Furthermore, the government sanctioned the establishment of two universities: Kashi Naresh University in Bhadohi and Swami Shukdevanand University in Shahjahanpur. "These initiatives will foster economic growth and improve infrastructure in the state," said a senior official.
