The Union Railway Ministry has granted in-principle approval for the construction of the long-awaited Ramagundam-Manthani railway line, bringing immense relief to the people of Peddapalli district.
MP Gaddam Vamshi Krishna has been credited with resolving the region’s long-standing railway issues. The proposed line will greatly benefit thousands of pilgrims traveling to the Sammakka-Sarakka tribal festivals in Medaram, offering dedicated connectivity for devotees heading to Manthani and Medaram. Vamshi Krishna hailed the approval as a historic milestone and confirmed that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) is complete. The project, estimated at Rs 4,000 crore, is set to begin construction soon. The new railway line is expected to benefit Singareni workers and enhance regional transportation, which will support the local economy.
Vamshi Krishna emphasised that the project is part of his broader mission to develop the Peddapalli constituency, which has long been neglected, through improved infrastructure like roads and upgraded railway facilities.
