Vipul Organics, a key player in the pigments and dyes industry, has announced its strategic entry into membrane manufacturing to support growing industrial water treatment demands. The company will establish a state-of-the-art membrane production unit at its greenfield facility in Saykha, Gujarat.
The initiative, led by Dr. Vatsal Shah—PhD in Membrane Technology from Imperial College London and son of Managing Director Vipul P Shah—will focus on developing advanced membranes for use in water and wastewater treatment, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage processing, and industrial filtration. The new membrane unit will function as an independent entity, emphasising research, development, and large-scale manufacturing. Vipul Organics aims to cater to both domestic and international markets, aligning with increasing global demand for sustainable water management solutions.
“Membranes represent a natural progression of our commitment to future-ready, sustainable solutions. This move builds on our core strengths in specialty chemicals and our experience with zero-liquid discharge technologies. As industries shift toward circularity and lower water footprints, we see membrane technology as a key enabler and a vital part of our vision for responsible growth,” Managing Director, Vipul Organics, Vipul P Shah said.
