The Water Corporation of Odisha (WATCO) has invited bids for the construction of a wastewater treatment plant at the confluence of River Daya and Ganguanala.
The contract, valued at Rs 131.67 crore, aims to improve water quality, manage sewage, and ensure environmental sustainability in the region. The construction phase is scheduled for 24 months, followed by a 60-month operation and maintenance (O&M) period to ensure long-term functionality and efficiency. The tender seeks experienced contractors with expertise in designing, building, and managing large-scale wastewater treatment facilities.
This project reflects the state government’s commitment to sustainable urban water management, pollution control, and enhancement of public health infrastructure. Successful execution is expected to significantly improve the ecological condition of the rivers and support Odisha’s environmental and sanitation objectives.
Interested bidders must submit their proposals by 22 October, 2025.
