Waaree Energies has received Board approval to acquire Kamath Transformers for approx. Rs 293 crore as part of its strategic business expansion.
Kamath Transformers is engaged in the manufacturing of transformers, aligning with Waaree's growth objectives in the energy infrastructure sector. The acquisition will be executed through an all-cash transaction, with shares priced at Rs one lakh each at a face value of Rs 10.
Additionally, Waaree Forever Energies, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Waaree Energies, will acquire Green New Delhi Forever Energy. This deal is also an all-cash transaction and part of Waaree’s broader plan to diversify and strengthen its energy portfolio. Both acquisitions are expected to be completed in the financial year FY26).
Waaree Energies stated that these moves are aligned with its long-term business strategy to scale operations and expand its footprint in the renewable and energy-related sectors.
