Waaree Energies has strengthened its position as India’s leading solar manufacturer with the recent expansion of its listing under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM).
According to the latest notification from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Waaree’s Chikhli (Gujarat) facility now holds an ALMM-approved capacity of 16.444 GW, bringing the company’s total solar module manufacturing capacity in India to 20.17 GW, including its partnership with Indosolar. The updated ALMM listing also includes new high-efficiency modules like the G12R TOPCon, G12 TOPCon, and G12 HJT models from Waaree’s SG Chikhli plant. These additions broaden the company’s product portfolio, supporting utility-scale, commercial, and rooftop solar projects across India.
As India strives to meet its 500 GW non-fossil fuel capacity target by 2030, domestic manufacturing becomes essential for energy security, cost stability, and quality assurance. Waaree remains committed to advancing solar technology to support India’s renewable energy goals.
