Work on Arihant Indo Africa Infrastructure's (AIAI) proposed integrated township 'Star Hills' at Vijayawada in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh is expected to commence by April. AIAI is a JV between Indo African Industries and Chennai-based Arihant Foundations & Housing.

Land has been acquired for the venture and the company was awaiting approvals from Hyderabad Urban Development Authority.

The company plans to set up the township on 53 acre at an outlay of Rs.1,000 crore. The project to be implemented in two phases is likely to comprise 129 towers of 12-15 floors with 3,000 apartments, office space, mall and three screens multiplex. The company has appointed Singapore's Architects Team 3 Pte. Ltd, and Natraj & Venkat, Chennai as architects for the project while Shapoorji Pallonji & Co Ltd. are the consultant & contractor for the township.
