The World Food India 2025 Summit, held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, concluded with unprecedented investment commitments totalling Rs 1.02 lakh crore in the food processing sector.
The Ministry of Food Processing Industries facilitated agreements with 26 leading domestic and international firms, including Reliance Consumer Products, The Coca-Cola System, Amul, Nestle India, and Tata Consumer Products. These investments will bolster infrastructure across dairy, meat, packaged foods, beverages, spices, and ready-to-eat products, spreading across states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Assam, and Chhattisgarh.
Reliance alone committed Rs 40,000 crore for integrated manufacturing facilities, while three Coca-Cola bottlers pledged Rs 25,760 crore for greenfield and brownfield projects. BL Agro Industries, ABIS Foods & Proteins, ACE International, Patanjali Foods, Haldiram Snacks Food, Indian Poultry Alliance, Mrs Bectors Food Specialities, Dabur India, Allana Consumer Products are the other companies which have signed MoUs.
The deals are expected to generate over 64,000 direct employment and create indirect work roles for more than a million people. The Summit underscored India’s growing stature as a trusted global destination for food processing investment and innovation.
