YEIDA has selected an agency to create the master plan for the proposed Hathras Urban City, which will span 4,000 hectares along the Yamuna Expressway.
Telangana-based Aarvee Engineering Consultants has been chosen after a competitive bidding process, offering the lowest bid of Rs 1.25 crore. The company will be responsible for outlining the city's land use, population density, and its Master Plan 2041 blueprint. The proposed area for development ranges from 2,000 to 4,000 hectares, with the final size determined during the initial stages of the project.
The master plan will comply with the Urban and Regional Development Plans Formulation and Implementation (URDPFI) guidelines, the UP Industrial Area Development Act, and other regulations. It will assess the region’s carrying capacity, focusing on industrial growth, infrastructure needs, natural resources, and environmental sustainability. Hathras Urban City is part of the second phase of the Yamuna Expressway Master Plan, which includes Aligarh, Mathura, and Agra.
