The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is set to acquire 740 acres of land from 16 villages starting in January for the construction of a 74.3-km link expressway connecting the Ganga Expressway with the Yamuna Expressway.
The total cost of land acquisition is estimated at Rs 1,200 crore, with the overall project valued at Rs 4,000 crore. The link expressway will provide a direct road corridor to the Noida International Airport in Jewar. The project will span two districts, with land acquisition covering 56 villages in Gautam Budh Nagar and Bulandshahr. Approx. 20 km of the expressway will fall within YEIDA's jurisdiction, including a nine-km elevated stretch. A 24-mtrs.-wide service road will be built to support local traffic.
As YEIDA CEO RK Singh noted, the alignment will begin at the 44.3-km point on the Ganga Expressway near Syana, and merge with the Yamuna Expressway near Film City in Sector 21.
