The contract will be executed on a partial turnkey basis.In May 2025, the Roadways sector saw the awarding of 98 contracts with a total value of Rs 3,793.03 crore. Some of the prominent contracts awarded during the month included:1. NKC Projects secured a Rs 900.85 crore contract from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for the construction of a four-lane greenfield corridor from Suara (Sasaram) at Ch. 0.000 to Garhani (SH-12) at Ch. 74.432. This forms Package-1 of the Patna%u2013Arrah%u2013Sasaram Corridor of NH-119A in Bihar and will be executed under the hybrid annuity model (HAM).2. M. Venkata Rao Infra Projects was awarded a Rs 681.97 crore contract by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority for the construction of an elevated corridor from Paradise Junction to Dairy Farm Road along NH-44 in Hyderabad, Telangana.3. Kaluwala Construction secured a Rs 288.17 crore contract from NHAI for the construction of a new fourlane Prayagraj Southern Greenfield Bypass from Km 34.400 (near Dandupur) to Km 43.200 (near Mahuwari), totalling 8.8 km. This project falls under Package 1 of Phase I in Uttar Pradesh and will be implemented on an EPC basis.In May, the Telecom Services sector saw the awarding of nine project contracts, collectively valued at Rs 3,599.44 crore. Among the major awards, ITI, in consortium with Tera Software, secured a notable contract worth Rs 1,901.10 crore from Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL). The work involves the design, supply, construction, installation, upgradation, operation, and maintenance of the middlemile network of BharatNet in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, and Manipur (Package-15). It will be implemented under the design, build, operate, and maintain (DBOM) model as part of the Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN) initiative, aiming to deliver broadband services to 2,50,000 Gram Panchayats across India.Another major contract in this sector was awarded to G R Infraprojects, which secured a Rs 1,257.28 crore deal from BSNL for a similar scope of work under Package-16. It involves the implementation of the BharatNet middle-mile network in Kerala, also under the DBOM model.The Commercial Complexes sector concluded five significant contracts in May 2025. Among them, Ramesh Kumar Bansal Company secured a contract from NBCC (India) for the development of a Commercial Complex in Rajasthan. Located at Plot No. 03, Lal Kothi Scheme, Near 22 Godown Overbridge, Jaipur, the work is to be executed on design, engineering, procurement & construction (EPC) basis, and includes five years of operation and maintenance.In May 2025, the Railway Wagon & Equipment sector witnessed the finalisation of nine major contracts. Of these nine contracts, a notable one was a Rs 1,538.3 crore contract secured by Alstom Transport India from Chennai Metro Rail. The scope of work includes the design, manufacture, supply, testing, commissioning, and training of personnel, along with a 15-year comprehensive maintenance contract for standard gauge metro rolling stock (EMUs) to be deployed under Phase-2 of the Chennai Metro project.The Railways sector also saw the awarding of nine contracts during the month. Among them, Ircon International bagged a Rs 1,068.34 crore contract for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a new broad-gauge rail bridge across the River Ganga, between Bikramshila and Katareah stations, as part of a new railway line project invited by East Central Railway. The bridge comprises two spans of 32.086 mtrs. and 33 spans of 122.0 mtrs.
