Of this, a major contract was secured by Patel Engineering, in joint venture with Raj Infrastructure Development, valued at Rs 958.33 crore. The order, awarded by Water Resources Department (WRD), Maharashtra, involves the construction of a pipeline distribution network for the Nira Deoghar Right Bank Canal from Km 87 to Km 135, including its distributaries and minor offtaking between Km 65 and Km 135. The contract also covers operation, repairs, and maintenance for five years, after which the system will be handed over to the Water Users Association (WUA). The Irrigation sector concluded 23 significant contracts in May 2025. Notably, Patel Engineering secured a Rs 1,318.8 crore contract from the CityandIndustrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra(CIDCO) for the construction of Kondhane Dam and its allied works using roller compacted concrete technology at village Kondhane, Taluka Karjat, District Raigad, in Maharashtra.The Other Community Services sector saw the conclusion of 56 contracts in May 2025. A major contract was awarded to Shivalaya Construction Company, which secured a Rs 277 crore contract from the Military Engineer Services. The project involves the provision of infrastructure for certain technical buildings, soil stabilisation, and pavement works (Part II) at INS DEGA, under GE P No. 3, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.In the Hydel-Based Power sector, three contracts were awarded in May 2025. Among them, Patel Engineering secured a Rs 711.29 crore contract from North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO) for the construction of the 240 MW HEO Hydropower Project located in Arunachal Pradesh, to be executed on an EPC basis.The Hospitals sector concluded 14 significant contracts during the month. A notable award was secured by Shubham EPC, which received a Rs 550.04 crore contract from the Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority for the construction of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Super Specialty Hospital & Post Graduate Institute for Medical Sciences, located at Kh. No. 101, 102, and 103, Mz. - Indora, Nagpur, Maharashtra.In the Airways (Aviation Infrastructure) sector, a single major contract was awarded in May 2025. ITD Cementation India secured a Rs 593 crore contract from the Airports Authority of India for carrying out various infrastructure works at Jaipur International Airport, Rajasthan.LOWEST BIDDERS (L1)1. Galfar Engineering & Contracting SAOG emerged as the lowest bidder for the construction of 4L of Patna Arrah Sasaram corridor (Package-1) Section 1 from Garhani at Ch. Km 73.700 Patar at Ch. Km 84.300 and Sec 2 Greenfield from Sadisopur at Patna Ring Rd NH131G) Ch. Km 0.000 to Asani (at NH319) at Ch Km 35.800 of NH-119A in Bihar on HAM mode.2. Megha Engineering & Infrastructures emerged as the lowest bidder for the execution of 6 Nos. of Lift Irrigation Schemes with intake points on Hirakud Reservoir and Bheden River, having a Command Area between 500 Ha. To 2000 Ha. In Cluster No. XXVI in the district of Sambalpur, including its Distribution Network, Up To 1 Ha Chak Having Total Planned Culturable Command Area of 8,507 Ha. on EPC-turnkey basis including power system connectivity and operation & maintenance of complete commissioned schemes for 15 years.3. KPC Projects secured the bid for the construction of the Football Stadium Complex at Mawkhanu, Meghalaya, proposed to be implemented on an EPC basis.4. NCC was declared the lowest bidder for the design, engineering & procurement of construction of Night Safari and Adventure Park - Phase I in Kukrail Forest Area in District Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh on an EPC basis.5. Jatan Construction emerged as the lowest bidder for the construction of Vidyut Bhawan Annexe Phase II at Janpath Jaipur under hybrid annuity model including comprehensive operation and maintenance.STATESIn May 2025, a total of 412 domestic project contracts were awarded across various Indian states, with a cumulative value of Rs 36,212.12 crore. The distribution of these contracts by state reveals key regional contributors to infrastructure and industrial development:%u2022%u0009Andhra Pradesh led the way, securing 16 contracts worth Rs 4,736.78 crore.
