Welspun Gujarat Stahl Rohren has bagged an order
valued at Rs.500 crore for supply of coated pipes to Indonesia. The pipelines
would be used for the South Sumatra-West Java gas pipeline project.
The order, placed by Indonesian state-owned firm
PGN has to be executed between February-July 2006. Welspun had recently bagged
an order from Indonesia' Amerada-Hess for supply of 42 km of service pipeline.
The company's current order book position stands
at over Rs.1,800 crore. At present, it is executing an order of supplying
pipelines to one of the deepest offshore pipeline projects in the world at the
Gulf of Mexico.
