1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Agreement for Delhi-Noida Metro Rail project signed

On 7 April 2006, an agreement was signed between Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and Noida for the Rs.736 crore Delhi-Noida Metro Rail project.

According to the agreement signed, the metro will cover a distance of 7 km. in Noida Sector 15, Sector 16, Sector 18, Botanical Garden, Golf Course and Sector 32 City Centre.

Noida is expected to bear the cost of land that will be around 32 crore and the remaining Rs.611 crore capital cost of the network will be shared by Uttar Pradesh government and the Union government in the ratio of 85:15. Noida will be approaching the centre for its 15 per cent contribution.

Work on the project is scheduled for completion by June 2009 along with the 8.07 km. Indraprastha-New Ashok Nagar corridor.

A proposal for the Dwarka Sub City has also been sent to the Union Urban Ministry for consideration and work is expected to commence before the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi. The fund arrangement recommended in the DPR for the extension of Line No.3 (Barakhamba Road-Dwarka) into Dwarka Sub-City has also been approved by the Union Ministry of Urban Development, it is learnt.
