expects to start civil work on its greenfield distillery project over the next
six months. Company officials, speaking to ProjectsToday, said that the project
is currently awaiting government clearances. The Rs.12 crore project involving
setting up of a 30 klpd distillery is scheduled for completion by June 2007.
The project will come up on 5-7 acres
of land at Ranjani in Osmanabad district of Maharashtra. Land acquisition is
complete, it is learnt.
Apart from the distillery unit, the
company is expanding its sugar unit capacity from 2,500 tccpd to 3,500 tccpd.
The sugar unit is located in the vicinity of the proposed distillery. The Rs.10
crore project currently under execution is targeted for completion by October
2006. The company has already placed major orders with Pune-based machinery
suppliers like SS Engineers and Crystal Engineers.
