1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

  • Bharat Heavy Electricals bagged a turnkey contract worth Rs.144 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India for a new 400 kV substation at Wardha and extension of 400 kV substations at Seoni, Akola and Aurangabad, associated with the Sipat Super Thermal Power Project Stage-II in Maharashtra.   • McNally Bharat Engineering Co in consortium with Tyazpromex Port (Pte), Russia bagged an order worth Rs.688 crore from Rashtriya Ispat Nigam for construction of  new sinter plant No 3 at its plant in Visakhapatnam. Under the contract the value of the order awarded to McNally is Rs.555.67 crore.

  • Sterlite Optical Technologies received an order worth Rs.150 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India for manufacture and supply of 400kV and 765kV power transmission conductors. Work on the order is likely to commence by end-February 2007 with completion scheduled within 22 months.

  • Sintex Industries has entered into an agreement with Gujarat Urban Development Co (a state government undertaking) for the construction of 50,000 residential dwellings using monolithic construction technology. The investment in the project, which will be executed by Sintex, is around Rs.750 crore.

  • ICSA India bagged an order worth Rs.19.50 crore Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Co for 33/11 kV substations in Mahaboobnagar district [contract value: Rs.11.84 crore] and for 33/11 kV substations in Medak district [contract value: Rs.7.65 crore] on turnkey basis.
  • Bangalore-based Suprajit Engineering has bagged an order worth Rs.40 crore from Tata Motors for supply of cables to Tata Motor's small car project at Singur in West Bengal. (project details)

  • Diamond Cables has bagged a turnkey order from Madhya Gujarat Vij Co for supply and erection of 11 kV 180 km line, about 700 km of LT lines, supply and erection of 361 transformers and providing service connections to over 69,000 house hold falling under the Jurisdiction of MGVCL in Vadodara and Anand district of Gujarat under Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Vidhyutikaran Yojna (RGGVY).

  • Mazda bagged Rs.3.63 crore order from Siemens for high pressure and low pressure heaters, which are used for power generation industry. The technology of manufacturing HP & LP Heaters is being developed by the in-house research and development of the company and with assistance from Croll Reynolds of USA which has about 12 per cent stake in Mazda.
  • Udhe India bagged a EPMC contract from Indian Oil Corporation for their 3 lakh tpa high density polyethylene plant, a part of petrochemicals plant at Panipat in Haryana. The scope of work includes project management, residual process design/engineering, detailed engineering, procurement and expediting services, construction, management & supervision and assistance in start-up, commissioning and performance test runs.   • Sunil Hitech Engineers bagged orders worth Rs.62.88 crore collectively as follows
  1. Two of the projects include structural steel works for Rashtriya Ispat Nigam's Visakapatnam project. [contract value: Rs.25.32 crore].
  2. Bharat Heavy Electricals for erection work of boiler 1 x 125 MW at Mangrol district in Gujarat. [contract value: Rs.11.95 crore].
  3. PLL for structural steel works of 2 X 250 MW at Chhabra [contract value: Rs.16.34 crore].
  4. Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam for structural steel work for 1 X 195 MW unit [contract value: Rs.9.27 crore].
  • Subhash Projects & Marketing bagged orders worth Rs.63 crore collectively from Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation [contract value: Rs.23 crore] and from Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam [contract value: Rs.40 crore] for construction of 220 kV sub station and 220 kV transmission lines, supply of all matching materials / equipments (excluding power transformer) and erection of all materials / equipments as well as testing and commissioning of the same.

  • Hindustan Construction Co bagged an order worth Rs.110 crore from Vidarbha Irrigation Development Corporation for Gosikhurd irrigation project. The scope of work includes construction and earthwork and other related works for the Ghodazari branch canal RD 8800 m to 13,335 m, in Nagbhid village near Nagpur.   • ICSA (India) bagged an order worth Rs.12.80 crore Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Co on turnkey basis under JBIC for 33/11 kV sub-stations in Kurnool district [contract value: Rs.6.2 crore] and Nalgonda district [contract value:Rs.6.60 crore] respectively.
  • Deep Industries bagged two orders worth Rs.26.07 crore from Assam Gas [contract value: Rs.15.75 crore]  and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation [contract value: Rs.10.32 crore]  for compression of natural gas. The contract is for a period of ten years and two years respectively.

  • Jindal Saw bagged its single largest order worth Rs.1,560 crore from a large corporation in USA. The order involves supply of 42" sub merged arc welded pipes. The order is scheduled to be executed by March 2008. With this order, the company's present order book exceeds approximately Rs.6,600 crore.
