Cairn India will seek government
approval for including a pipeline to transport crude from the field to a coastal
terminal facility within the field development plan (FDP) of its Mangala field
in Rajasthan.
A proposal making the pipeline part of
the FDP, allowing it to be funded 70 percent by Cairn Energy and 30 per cent by
Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, will be submitted shortly to the Centre. This
inclusion will also allow the company to recover the costs under the FDP.
The company will also be submitting
FDPs for Bhagyam and Shakti fields in the Rajasthan block by June 2007.
