1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

  • Tantia Constructions has received orders worth Rs.102.10 crore in July and August 2007 from the following
  1. National Hydroelectric Power Corporation for construction and maintenance of three road projects for five years at Patna in Bihar [contract value: Rs.12.50 crore].
  2. U.P.P.W.D, Lucknow for rehabilitation of two road projects under Utter Pradesh State Roads Projects [contract value: Rs.70.83 crore].
  3. Eastern Railway for earthwork, blanketing work, construction of RCC bridges between Azimganj Junction station to proposed bridge site across the river Bhagirathi along with the restoration of rail link in between Jiaganj (Murshidabad) and Azimganj Junction [contract value: Rs.18.77 crore].

  • Sadbhav Engineering bagged an order worth Rs.245.24 crore from Northen Coalfields for removal of over burden of first dig (solid) by hiring of HEMM such as excavators, dumpers, drills, dozers, graders and water tankers for composite work consisting of blast hole drilling, blasting, excavation, loading, transportation of broken rocks/soil/earth, dumping, spreading etc complete including unloading spreading dozing, water sprinkling, grading etc by mechanical means as per instruction of engineer in charge at specified places at Bina extension open cast project.
  • Gayatri Projects bagged an order worth Rs.154.01 crore for rehabilitation and upgrading of KM 143.600 to KM 170.000 of NH-25 in Uttar Pradesh - Package EW-II (UP-4). (project details)

  • Alpine Mayreder Bau Gmbh (Alphine) along with Samsung Corporation and Hindustan Construction Co (that is Alpine-Samsung-HCC joint venture) bagged the contract worth Rs.693.61 crore from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation for design and construction of two underground stations and tunnel between New Delhi station and Talkatora Garden.   • Nagarjuna Construction Co in consortium with Posco E&C, South Korea bagged an EPC contract worth  Rs.1,558 crores from Steel Authority of India for setting up of blast furnace complex at its IISCO Steel Plant at Burnpur in West Bengal.   • KLG Systel bagged orders worth over Rs.25 crore from:
  1. Government of Haryana for implementation of a high voltage distribution system for the Gurgaon district.
  2. Government of Rajasthan will cover the modification and renovation of its consumer electricity network.

  • Larsen & Toubro bagged an order worth Rs.77 crore from Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers for methanol reformer package as a part of 'Trombay Methanol Revamp Project' at Chembur. The scope of work involves detailed engineering, procurement, supply, transportation, storage, fabrication, inspection, construction, installation, testing, mechanical completion and assistance for pre-commissioning, commissioning and performance guarantee test runs for the project.   • Unity Infraprojects bagged two orders for Rs.134.15 crore from:
  1. Anuttam Developers for construction of shopping centre at Koregaon Park, Pune, to be completed within 17 months [contract value: Rs.112.40 crore].
  2. Serendipity Buildtech, New Delhi for construction of big mall at Thane [contract value: Rs.21.75 crore].
  • Larsen & Toubro in consortium with Outotec GmbH, Germany have bagged a Rs.762 crore order from Steel Authority of India for a sinter plant of 2 X 204 sq.m grate area with a capacity of 3.80 million tpa, to be executed on a turnkey basis, at the IISCO Steel Plant (ISP) of SAIL at Burnpur in West Bengal.  (more news) (project details)

  • Diamond Power Transformers (Western Transformers), a subsidiary of Diamond Cables bagged orders for 2750 transformers, out of which 1,350 transformers are for 63 KVA, and 1,400 transformers for 16 and 10 KVA.
  • Delhi Metro Railway Corporation awarded the contract worth Rs.64 crore to Nippon Steel for providing 19,600 tonne of high-grade rails for its Delhi Metro Rail Project (Phase II). (project details)

  • Hindustan Dorr Oliver bagged an order worth Rs.77 crore from National Aluminium Co for design, residual basic engineering, detailed engineering, procurement, erection, construction and commissioning of HRDs & DCWs including flocculant preparation unit and cauticisation unit along with associated facilities and auxiliaries' for its alumina refinery at Damanjodi in Orissa.   • Larsen & Toubro in consortium with Paul Wurth, Italy bagged a Rs.1,205 crore order from Bhushan Steel for turnkey construction of a 2.5 million tpa blast furnace for its integrated steel plant at Meramandali in Angul district of Orissa. (more news) (project details)
  • Gayatri Projects bagged an order valued Rs.311.89 crore from Executive Engineer, Keonjhar (R&B) Division, Keonjhar, Orissa for improvement to Naranpur-Pandapada-Harichandanpur-Bramhanipal-Duburi Road in the Keonjhar and Jajpur districts in Orissa. Work on the project is scheduled for completion within three years.
  • Kirloskar Brothers in joint venture with PLR bagged an order worth Rs.118.27 crore from the Government of Andhra Pradesh, Irrigation & CAD Department for Telugu Ganga Project, Kadapa in respect of investigation, design, construction of micro-irrigation lift system comprising civil, steel pressure mains, pump houses and electro mechanical works and including other necessary ancillary works to supply water by lift from foreshore to reservoirs and providing distributory system for 8,750 acres of ayacut in Anantapaur district on EPC turnkey basis.   • Suzlon Energy bagged an order from Ayen Enerji Co Inc for an order of 31.5 MW of wind turbine capacity. The turbines will be supplied through 15 units of Suzlon's S88 - 2.1 MW turbines.

  • ABB India bagged an order worth Rs.93.3 crore from KHD Humboldt Wedag GmbH, Germany, to provide a turnkey electrics and automation solution for a 5,000 tpd capacity cement plant at Katrana in Jordan.  (more news)
