1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

  • BEML bagged an order worth Rs.1,144 crore order from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation to supply 156 nos state-of-art standard gauge stainless steal metro cars for Delhi Metro Rail Project (Phase II). (project details)
  • Bharat Earth Movers secured an order worth Rs.648 crore from Northern Coalfields for supply and service of three nos 20 cum electric rope shovels.
  • Energy Development Co received a contract valued at Rs.14 crore approximately for supply of and supervision for commissioning of turbine/generator and associated works for a hydroelectric power project. The order is scheduled to be completed within 15 months.
  • A consortium led by Unity Infraprojects bagged three contracts aggregating to Rs.238.91 crores from Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) for design and construction of storm water pumping stations including supply, delivery, erection, commissioning of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and comprehensive operation maintenance of pumping plant at Haji Ali, Cleveland Bunder (Worli), and Love Grove (Worli).

  • Reliance Energy consortium received a letter of award (LoA) from the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation for a 100 storey trade tower along with a business centre in Hyderabad. (more news)

  • Yokogawa India received a contract worth $11.8 million from NTPC to supply an automation and control system for the 3x660 MW Barh power project in Bihar. The scope of work includes instrumentation systems for the boilers and other utilities of three power generators. These include the CENTUM CS 3000 R3 distributed control system, PRM plant resource manager, DPharp EJA pressure/differential pressure transmitters, and IR8A infrared gas analysers.   • Simplex Projects bagged an order worth Rs.115 crore for piling, foundation and residential complex primarily in Kolkata from various agencies. Piling and foundation contracts of approximately Rs.62 crore is to be completed within 3 to 6 months.
  • McNally Bharat Engineering Co received an order worth Rs.38.31 crore from Maharashtra State Power Generation Co for design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of ash handling system for its New Parli thermal power project in Bid district. (project details)
  • CS Software Enterprise has bagged orders from Dakshin Gujarat Vij Co to implement electricity billing and the estimated value of the orders is around Rs.0.7 crore.
  • Diamond Cables bagged conductor orders, aggregating 15,000 kms and these orders are to be executed in the coming nine months.

  • Lanco Infratech bagged an order worth Rs.73 crore from Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanams, Thirupati for construction of Sri Venkateswara Vedic University at Alipiri, Thirupati. The project is to be completed within 24 months.

  • Gayatri Projects bagged construction related orders totalling to Rs.27.59 crore from:
  1. JSW Steel for civil work for a plant in Karnataka [contract value: Rs.17 crore]
  2. Engineer in Chief, Public Health, Hyderabad for water supply improvement scheme and construction assistance. [contract value: Rs.10.59 crore].

  • Suzlon Energy bagged an order from DLF for setting up of a windfarm of 150 MW wind turbine capacity in Gujarat. The order comprising of 100 units of Suzlon's S82-1.5 MW turbines will be installed by March 2008.
  • Patel Engineering bagged an order worth Rs.428 crore from NTPC for 520 MW (4x130 MW) Tapovan Vishnugad hydroelectric power project at Dhauliganga River in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. (more news) (project details)

  • ICSA India bagged orders worth Rs.93.47 Crores from Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board, Raipur for implementation of Atal Jyoti Yojna under O&M division in Bhilai, Bhatapura, Bernetra, Durg-I and Durg-II areas on total turnkey basis. The scope of work includes design, supply and erection of 11kV, 33/11 kV Lines and 63 KVA, 100 KVA subsations.

B. Overseas Contracts

  • Bharat Heavy Electricals bagged an order worth Rs.150 crore from Al Ghail Power LLC, a company wholly owned by Ras Al Khaimah Investment Authority (RAKIA), Govt. of Ras Al Khaimah. Ras Al Khaimah for two gas turbine generating units of 42 MW each.
  • Patels Airtemp India received an order worth 11.90 lakh euros (approx Rs.7 crore) from Fasam S.R.L. Italy for high tech pressure vessels, for a gas pipeline project in Iran.

  • Punj Lloyd secured a contract worth Rs.389 crore from Qatar Petroleum to construct the multi-product pipeline on an EPC basis. (more news)

  • Larsen & Toubro bagged an order worth $60 million engineering and procurement order from Saudi Arabia-based Chemanol for setting up high-technology plants for manufacturing 50,000 tpa methylamines and 60,000 tpa dimethyl formamides. (more news)

  • Suzlon Wind Energy Corporation, the US-based wholly owned subsidiary of Suzlon Energy signed a contract for a 400 MW of wind turbine capacity with Horizon Wind of Houston, Texas, owned by Portuguese utility EDP (Energias de Portugal, S.A.). The delivery of 200 MW of turbine capacity will be delivered by 2008 and another 200 MW of capacity by 2009.
