National Hydroelectric Power
Corporation has signed an agreement with Bharat Heavy Electricals for execution
of electrical and mechanical works package of its 44 MW Chutak hydroelectric
power project in Kargil district of Jammu & Kashmir at a cost Rs.227.73 crore.
The scope of work involves design,
manufacture, supply, transportation to site, handling, erection, testing &
commissioning works of turbines including digital type governing system,
generators along with static excitation system including associated
accessories and auxiliaries, generator step-up transformer, bus duct, computer
based control, protection and monitoring equipment and all other electrical and
mechanical auxiliaries.
