Mumbai Metro One, a SPV
formed by Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority, Reliance
Energy Limited and French transport firm Veolia, to construct and operate the
Versova- Andheri-Ghatkopar Metro Rail project, has awarded three major
contracts for track work, communication system and for an automatic fare
collection system.
The laying of tracks contract is
awarded to VNC Rail One of Germany, Automatic Fare Collection to Indra of
Spain and for the communication system for the corridor to Thales of France.
