Larsen & Toubro has secured an order
valued at Rs.700 crore from HPCL-Mittal Energy (HMEL), JV between HPCL and
Mittal Energy Investments.
The project order involves setting up
two 4,000 tpa capacity hydrogen generation units for HMEL's Bathinda refinery in
Punjab. The plant will be designed for operation with 'straight run naptha' and
DHDT naptha as feed stock. The 9 million tpa refinery will generate products
that meet EURO IV specifications.
L&T'S scope of work includes residual
process design, detailed engineering, procurement, supply, transportation,
storage, fabrication, inspection, construction, installation, testing,
mechanical completion, pre- commissioning and commissioning.
