Maytas Infra has
bagged a project worth Rs.110 crore from the Southern Railway for doubling the
broad gauge track between Chengalpattu and Villupuram in Tamil Nadu.
The railway project, a
JV between CT Ramanathan and Maytas will be completed in 18 months from the date
of agreement. On completion, the project will help in easing the traffic flow
Chengalpattu and Villupuram.
The scope of work
includes:

The doubling work of
the broad gauge track between Chengalpattu till Melmaruvathur, at an
investment cost of Rs.39 crore.

The doubling work of
the broad gauge track between Melmaruvathur till Tindivanam at an investment
cost of Rs.35 crore.

The doubling work of
the broad gauge track between Tindivanam and Villupuram at an investment cost
of Rs.36 crore.
