Alstom Projects has been awarded a contract worth Rs 265 crore from Lanco
Infratech to install a new power plant on Teesta river in Sikkim.
Alstom Hydro, a subsidiary of the company, will supply 4x125 MW Francis
turbines and generators, main inlet valves and control & protection systems for Teesta VI. The
order also includes design, engineering, erection, testing and commissioning.
The order will be executed by Alstom's hydro facility in Vadodara (Gujarat),
with the project slated to be completed in 2013.
