BHEL has bagged an order worth Rs 2,600 crore from Jindal India Thermal
Power Ltd (JITPL) for its main plant package for an upcoming 1,200 MW (2x600)
thermal power project at Derang in Angul district of Orissa.
BHEL's scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply,
erection and commissioning of steam turbines, generators and boilers, along with
associated auxiliaries and electricals, besides state-of-the-art Controls &
Instrumentation and electrostatic precipitators.
