Rahul Gandhi, Congress General Secretary, inaugurated on 17 August 2009,
BHEL's new centralised stamping unit (CSU) at Jagdishpur, in Uttar Pradesh, set
up at an outlay of Rs 367 crore.
At present, the stampings are being manufactured at Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh),
Haridwar (Uttarakhand) and Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh) units of the company with
a total installed capacity of about 77 lakh stampings per annum. The new plant,
along with the new fabrication plant at the same location, will cater to the
company's mother plants at these locations.
